Delhi - Agra - Jaipur - Haridwar - Rishikesh - Shimla - Dharamshala - Amritsar - Delhi (Duration 14 days)

Day 01: Arrive DelhiRed Fort - Delhi

Assistance on arrival by our Tour Guide at International Delhi airport, transfer to hotel, relax & overnight in Delhi. (Meals: No Meals)

Day 02: Delhi

After breakfast take a sight seeing tour of Old & New Delhi.
Morning visit Old Delhi: The important places in Old Delhi include the majestic Red Fort, the historical Chandni Chowk and if time permits you can visit Raj Ghat the Memoir of Mahatma Gandhi.

Afternoon visit New Delhi visit the Rashtrapati Bhawan, the one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys; the India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war; the Laxmi Narayan Temple, built by the Birlas, one of India's leading industrial families; Qutab Minar, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty; and the lotus-shaped Baha'i Temple. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 03: Delhi - Agra (200 kms - 4 hrs)

After breakfast checkout & drive to Agra enroute visit the Tomb of Mughal Emperor Akbar at Sikandra, later proceed to Agra, on arrival transfer to hotel. After freshen up take a sight seeing tour of Agra visiting Diwan - e Am (Chambers of Common men), Diwan - e -Khas (Chamber of VIP's), Octagonal Tower, Jehangir Palace, all in theTaj Mahal - Agra vicinity of Agra Fort and Tomb of Ittamuddaulahs. Later in the day visit The Grand Taj Mahal where you should spent some quality time, evening visit the Inlay Handicraft Market of Agra, overnight at the hotel in Agra. (Meals: Breakfast)

 

Day 04: Agra - Jaipur (230 kms - 5 hrs)

After breakfast checkout and drive to Jaipur for 5 hours, enroute sightseeing of Fatehpur Sikri the city built by Mughal Emperor Akbar, visit Bulund Darwaza, Jama Masjid, and Tomb of Shaikh Salim Chisti; Proceed to Jaipur, on arrival transfer to hotel in Jaipur. Day free to relax after the journey till early evening. Later in the evening visit Sisodia Gardens, Temple of Galta which is also known as Valley of Monkeys, and Birla Temple of White Marble and at the time of dinner visit Chokhi Dhani - an ethnic resort serving Rajasthani & Continental cuisine with live folk dance & music and puppet shows in an ambiance of an ethnic village. Return to the hotel for overnight. (Meals: Breakfast & Cultural Dinner at Chokhi Dhani)

Day 05: Jaipur - Haridwar (By Overnight Train)

After breakfast take an excursion tour to Amber Fort - 11kms, and enjoy elephant ride to ascend/ descend this great fort. Later take sight seeing tour of Jaipur visiting City Palace, Hawa Mahal made for the ladies of Royal Family to see the Processions from this Palace and without being seen from the people and Jantar Mantar Observatory all within the vicinity of City Palace. After lunch the day is kept free for shopping or individual activities. After dinner checkout & transfer to railway station to board the train for Haridwar at 2305 hrs, overnight in the private first class a/c compartment of the train. (Meals: Breakfast)

Rishikesh Temple - Rishikesh

Day 06: Haridwar - Rishikesh (24 kms - 1 hr)

Assistance on arrival at Haridwar Railway Station at 1230 hrs in the afternoon drive Rishikesh - an important point for beginning trips to Himalayan shrines Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. Arrive Rishikesh and check - in at hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Rishikesh includes Bharat Mandir the oldest temple; Nilkanth Mahadev believed to be the place where Lord Shiva drank the poison churned out of the cosmic ocean; Raghunath Mandir and Triveni Ghat. Early evening attend Yoga Session to learn the art of Yoga & Pranayam. Overnight in Rishikesh. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 07: Rishikesh - Haridwar - Rishikesh.

Early morning Yoga Classes. After breakfast visit Haridwar - Hari Ki Pauri is the centre of activity in Haridwar: piety and brisk business go hand in hand here at all times. There are thread ceremonies, tonsuring ceremonies, holy dips, and ash immersion ceremonies. However, it is at the time of the evening Aarti that the Ghats of Har-ki-Pauri command rapt attention from the onlookers. Chanda Devi Temple situated atop the Neel Parvat and the eight-storeyed Bharat Mata Temple that towers over the small town. Then there is Shanti Kunj, a spot famous for its Gayatri Temple housing 24 images of Gayatri just near the Saptarishi Ashram. The bazaars of Haridwar also hold their own unique importance. You will find rudraksh, kumkum (vermilion), & Ganga Jal. Evening yoga classes again, by now you must have learn the basics of Yoga, relax & overnight in Rishikesh. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 08: Rishikesh - Shimla (240 kms - 5 hours)

After breakfast checkout & drive to Shimla, the 'Summer Retreat of the British - Shimla'. Arrive Shimla and check - in at hotel. The former summer capital of the British in India, and the present capital of Himachal Pradesh. Evening visit the Mall road to see the British Architectural Buildings from here  you can have a panoramic view of Shimla Valley, the mall only approachable by lift as cars & are not allowed on the mall road of Shimla. Overnight in Shimla. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 09: Shimla

Morning sightseeing tour of Shimla including The Mall - Shimla's principal promenade and best for a leisurely walk. Jakhoo Hill is the highest point in Shimla and offers a panoramic view of the city. Glen forest is one of the most fascinating picnic spots in Shimla. Summer Hill has pleasant shady walks in quite surroundings. Chadwick Falls are situated amidst thick forest and gives a breathtaking view. Prospect Hill is a popular picnic spot that gives some beautiful views of the region. Overnight in Shimla. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 10: Shimla - Dharamshala (260 kms - 6 hour)

Morning drive to Dharamshala, enroute visit the Temple of Baijnath near Palampur. Arrive Dharamshala and check - in at hotel. Set against the backdrop of the dramatic Dauladhar mountains, Dharamshala is perched on the high slopes in the upper reaches of Kangra Valley. It is a charming town with elegant bungalows nestling in thick conifer forests. Evening free to relax, overnight in Dharamshala. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 11: Dharamshala

After breakfast take a sight seeing tour of Dharamshala visiting Dalai Lama Palace & Monasteries, Mcleodganj, Tibetan Medical & Astro Institute, Bhagsunath, St. John's Church, Kunal Pathri, Dal Lake and War Memorial. Later in the afternoon take an excursion tour to Triund - It is a beautiful picnic spot at a height of 2827 m. It is on the foothills of Dhauladhar range, situated at 17-kms from Dharamshala. The snow line starts at Ilaqua, which is five kms from Triund. The magnificent view of the mountains and the valleys makes Triund a scenic place for tourist. Evening drive back to Dharamshala for overnight. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 12: Dharamshala - Amritsar (200 kms - 4 hrs) Golden Temple - Amritsar

Morning drive to Amritsar. Arrive Amritsar and check - in at hotel. Rest of the day free to relax, early evening take an excursion tour to Wagah Border to see the closing ceremony of India border with Pakistan. Overnight in Amritsar. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 13: Amritsar - Delhi (By train at 1600 hrs / arr at 2100 hrs)

After breakfast Visit the famous Golden Temple, a glittering gold and marble temple which is one of the holiest Sikh shrines. Durgiana Mandir is a temple with a golden dome and silver doors; Jalianwala Bagh has a memorial built in memory of unarmed victims massacred by the British. Early evening transfer to Railway Station to board train for Delhi. Assistance on arrival in Delhi, transfer to hotel, overnight in Delhi. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 14: Delhi - Back home

In time transfer to airport to board the flight back home. (Meals: Breakfast)
