Day 01: Home - DelhiRed Fort - Delhi

Arrive Delhi International airport, you will be met and assisted by our representative to the hotel, check in at the hotel. Relax and overnight in Delhi.

Day 2: Delhi

Morning take a sight seeing tour of Old & New Delhi. Morning visit Old Delhi: The important places in Old Delhi include the majestic Red Fort, the historical Chandni Chowk and visit Raj Ghat the Memoir of Mahatma Gandhi. Afternoon visit New Delhi visit the Rashtrapati Bhawan, the one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys; the India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war; the Laxmi Narayan Temple, built by the Birlas, one of India's leading industrial families; Qutab Minar, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty; Humayuns Tomb and the lotus-shaped Baha'i Temple. Evening relax, overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Delhi - Udaipur (By air)

Morning transfer to airport to connect flight for Udaipur - the romantic city of Lake. Udaipur was originally the capital of the state of Mewar, takes its name from Maharana Udai Singh. He founSas Bahu Temple - Eklingjided the city in 1568 after retreating from the third attack by armies of the Mughal Emperor Akbar on the city of Chittaurgarh, (which was then Mewar's capital), One legend claims that he chose the present location of Udaipur for the capital after a sadhu, or wandering holy man, told him that if he built his capital on the edge of Lake Pichola, it would never be captured. Meeting upon arrival and transfer to hotel, day free to relax, After freshen up take a sight seeing tour of Udaipur - set around the vast Pichola Lake and dominated by dramatic palaces, Udaipur is surely Rajasthan most picturesque city. Visit the romantic and stunning white marble Palace built on an island in the Lake Pichola, the magnificent City Palace - built in 1725, the ancient palaces of the Mewar Royal Family for centuries, the Jagdish temple, the pleasure gardens and a drive around the other nearby lakes. Return to hotel. . Afternoon, visit the Sahelion-ki-Bari also called as the garden of demoiselles and its pond covered with lotus flowers, thereafter visit the school of paintings, which specializes in Miniatures. In the evening, enjoy the boat ride on Lake Pichola and visit of Jag Mandir in the middle of the Romantic Lake Pichola. Overnight at the hotel. early evening visit Nagda Ruins - 22 kms away from Udaipur to see Eklingji & Nagda Temples - built in white marble with a double storied porch on the bank of Lake bagel. Drive back to Udaipur for overnight.Jain Temple - Ranakpur

Day 4: Udaipur - Ranakpur - Udaipur

After breakfast take an excursion tour to Ranakpur Jain Temples of 12th Century which stands on 1444 carved marble pillar each carved differently from other. One can have lunch at the famous Heritage Hotel of Ranakpur the Maharani Bagh Orchard Retreat, later drive back to Udaipur enroute visiting the famous Fort of Kumbhalgarh made by Rana Kumbha & Maharana Pratap was born in this fort which is known for its longest wall in India of 36 kms surrounding the fort which has 360 temples lying in state of ruins. Drive back to Udaipur, evening free to stroll at Lake Pichola, overnight in Udaipur.

Day 5: Udaipur - Jaipur (By air 0730 hrs / 0920)

Morning transfer to airport to connect flight for Jaipur - the Capital of Rajasthan. Jaipur, the city-capital in the tone of an autumnal sunset, literally lush pink when prince Albert, the consort of Queen Victoria, stepped on its soil in 1883. Interspersing the play of red and pink were white borders and motifs, painstakingly outlining the architectural highlights of Jaipur's buildings. Jaipur had been like that since 1727 when Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II had it built that year. Arrive and check in to hotel. In the afternoon, tour of the Pink city visiting the imposing City Palace nowBirla Temple - Jaipur a museum - the principal Residence of the former ruling family, Jantar Mantar - the ancient Observatory, Hawa Mahal - the exotic Palace of the Winds & the picturesque bazaars of the walled city. Return to hotel in the evening and overnight.

Day 6: Jaipur

Morning proceed for the visit the Amber Fort built in the time of Mughals. The area used to be always ready for the war. Amber was residence of the Maharajas. By seeing the majestic ramparts of the Fort, which surround the palace, you will be able to imagine the power of the character. You will ascend this 11th centuary Bastion on a gaily decorated Elephant. Visit the Palace with its crimped rooms of mirrors and the old harem, true labyrinth. The magnificent public and private rooms show evidence of the splendor of the rulers of 16th & 17th century. Possibility of attending Puja at the Kali temple. Puja is the time of the prayers according to Hindu rites'. One can enter in the temple only naked feet and without leather articles on oneself, thereafter return to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, ground of knighthood of high feats of arms. Afternoon at leisure for souvenir shopping. Return to hotel and overnight.

Day 7: Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra (260 Km) Taj Mahal - Agra

Morning depart for Agra synonymous with Taj. A pleasant town with a comparatively slow pace, Agra is known for its superb inlay work on marble and soapstone by craftsmen who are descendants of those who worked under the Mughals. The city is also famous for its carpets, gold thread embroidery and leather shoes. Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri - the extraordinary city built by Akbar the Great, deserted 14 years later, but which, during its brief span, the city had more significant than London in both grandeur and population continue towards Agra. Upon arrival - check in to hotel. After freshen up take a sight seeing tour of Agra visit the strong & magnificent Red Fort, Ittamuddaulahs Tomb and World famous Taj Mahal where one should spend quality time capturing on your camera. Evening free to relax or visit the Inlay Handicraft Market of Agra, overnight in Agra.

Day 8 : Agra - Jhansi (By train at 0800 hrs / arr at 1030 hrs) - Orchha - Khajuraho (178 kms - 4 hrs)

After early breakfast transfer to railway station to board the superfast Shatabdi Express Train for Jhansi at  0800 hrs, assistance on arrival in Jhansi at 1030 hrs, drive to Khajuraho enroute visiting the Temple of Orchha, on arrival in Khajuraho transfer to hotel. Afternoon free to relax, early evening take a sight seeing tour of Khajuraho Temples visiting the Eastern & Western Group of Temples consisting of the massive Lakshmana Temple dedicated to lord Vishnu, the Lakshmi and Varaha temples dedicated to Vishnu's consort Lakshman, the Kandariya Mahadev temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and the Chausath Yogini temple dedicated to goddess Kali. Also visit Archaeological museum with its collection of stone sculptures of the Chandela dynasty. Later visit Eastern group of Temples and visit the Jain temples of Parsvanath, Adinath, and Shanti Nath. Also visit the temples of Vamana and Brahma/Hanuman both dedicated to lord Vishnu. Evening free for individual activities, overnight at the hotel.

Day 9 : Khajuraho - Varanasi (By air at 1220 hrs / arr at 1300 hrs) Sunken temple - Varanasi

After breakfast day free for incomplete sight seeing in case if you have miss on the previous day. Afternoon transfer to airport to board the flight for Varanasi at 1220 hrs, assistance on arrival in Varanasi at 1300 hrs, transfer to hotel. After freshen up take an excursion tour to Saranath; Sarnath - Lord Buddha preached his first sermon after enlightenment and revealed the eight fold path, the Buddhists doctrine. Here you can see the Ashoka Pillar, Dhamekh Stupa, Dharamrajika Stupa, Mulgandhkuti Vihara, Chaukhandi, Sarnath Museum and Maha Bodhi Society. Later drive back to Varanasi, evening enjoy boat cruise in River Ganges and see the various Ghats with people ritually cleansing their sins. While on the boat you will also see the cremation ceremonies of dead bodies as per Hindi Rituals. Later drive back to hotel for overnight.

Day 10 : Varanasi

Early morning boat ride on the Ganges at dawn when it is full of pilgrims is an amazing place to witness the living traditions of one of the world's oldest and most important religions. Thereafter, return to hotel for breakfast Later, walk through the narrow lanes and colorful bazaars in the heart of the old city and visit the temples. The visit includes the famous Kashi Vishwa Nath Temple, Banaras Hindu University. Evening free to relax, overnight in Varanasi.

Day 11: Varanasi - Mumbai (BY air at 1345 hrs / arr at 1545 hrs)

After breakfast day free to visit the busy bazaars of Varanasi, afternoon transfer to airport to board the flight for Mumbai at 1345 hrs, assistance on arrival in Mumbai at 1545 hrs, transfer to hotel. Evening free to stroll at Gateway of India and at Marine Drive also called Queens Necklace, overnight in Mumbai.

Day 12 : MumbaiGateway of India - Mumbai

After breakfast take a city tour visiting Gateway of India – The imposing stone archway in Indo-Saracenic architecture built in 1911, later cruise by motor boats to Elephanta island lies 9 km north-east to Apollo Bunder or Gateway of India. The island which was known as Gharapuri earlier is the glorious abode of Lord Shiva. This island was renamed, Elephanta by the Portuguese who landed here, after they saw the majestically carved elephant on this island. Spread over an area of 500 sq mt is the cave temple of Elephanta. A flight of 100 steps takes you to the top of the hill where it is set. The temple houses large pillars that seem to hold the ceiling which is made of cross beams. The picturesque presentation of the 9 marvelous sculptured panels, set on the walls are awe-inspiring. The most famous of the panels is the Trimurthi, or triple-headed Shiva, where the God is depicted as the destroyer, the preserver and the creator. Later in the afternoon cruise back to Gateway of India, visit Prince of Wales Museum, Parliament House, Marine Drive, Jain Temple, Hanging Gardens, Mani Bhawan, Mahalaxmi Temple and DHOBHI GHAT - Indian Laundry System - a unique sight. Evening free for leisure, overnight in Bombay.  

Day 13: Mumbai - Aurangabad (By air at 0715 hrs / arr at 0815 hrs) Ajanta Caves - Aurangabad

Morning board the flight for Aurangabad at 0715 hrs, assistance on arrival in Aurangabad at 0815 hrs, transfer to hotel. Later take an excursion tour to famous Ellora caves. Ellora is one of the highly visited World heritage sites of India. It houses 34 monasteries and temples with some exclusive uninterrupted sequence of monuments that date back from 600 to 1000 AD. The temples of Ellora are dedicated to Brahmanism, Jainism, and Buddhism. It also has some of the excellent stonework depicting the legends related to Lord Shiva. Later drive back to Aurangabad, relax for some time and visit the City of Aurangabad visiting the Tomb of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb & Pan Chakki, Bibi-ka-Maqbara. Evening free for individual activities, overnight at the hotel. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 14: Aurangabad

After breakfast take a sightseeing tour of famous Ajanta caves. Ajanta is one of the few historical and architectural marvels of India. Recognized as the World Heritage site today, it was discovered during the 19th century by a group of British officers who were on a tiger hunt. The Ajanta group of caves, located deep within the Sahyadri hills above the Waghora, depicts the story of Buddhism that prevailed here during 200 BC to 650 AD. Evening free to relax, overnight in Aurangabad.

Day 15: Aurangabad - Chennai (by air at 0830 hrs / 1225 hrs)Mehabalipuram Temple - Chennai

Morning Transfer to airport to connect flight for Chennai at 0830 hrs, assistance on arrival in Chennai at 1225 hrs, the flight is via Mumbai. Transfer to hotel on arrival, Chennai is one India's four metropolises located on the Coromandel Coast, it is the gateway to south India and also an important Harbour. Chennai has a blend of Dravidian and Gothic architecture in its buildings. It was the first citadel of the British. Tamil Nadu is a bastion of Hinduism, whose past endures into the present. Visit the St. George Fort built in 1640 A.D which now houses the Tamil Nadu State Legislature and Secretariat, Saint Thomas Cathedral, which is said to contain the remains of St Thomas and the famous bronze Museum. Arrive Madras - meet & transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 16: Chennai - Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram

After breakfast checkout & drive to Mahabalipuram, enroute visit Kanchipuram, one of India's seven sacred Hindu cities. Historic capital of the Pallavas and thereafter the Cholas Also called as the city of thousand temples, it has magnificent temples of unique architectural beauty that bear eloquent testimony to its glorious Dravidian heritage. Notable being the Kailasnatha Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, finest example of Pallava architecture. Kanchipuram is also famous for its silk saris. Later proceed to Mahabalipuram, on arrival transfer to Beach Resort. the ancient seaport city of Pallavas, known for its rock hewn temples with statues of gods and goddesses, monsters and angels, snakes, water nymphs and animals that crowd the rock to watch the descent of Ganges flow through Shiva's hair. Relax at the beach resort of Mahabalipuram & overnight.

Day 17: MahabalipuramSt. Francis Church - Cochin

After breakfast take a sight seeing tour of Mahabalipuram The city of Mahabalipuram is famous for the seven pagodas. Here on the seashore is an interesting group of ancient rock hewn temples which are the examples of Dravidian style of Architecture. Visit Cave Temples, Rathas Arjuna’s Penace and Shore Temples, rest of the day free to relax at the Mahabalipuram Beach. Overnight in Mahabalipuram.

 

Day 18: Mahabalipuram - Chennai - Cochin (By air at 1500 - 1710)

Morning free at leisure, Later transfer to airport to board the flight for Cochin at 1300 hrs, assistance on arrival at 1400 hrs, transfer to hotel. Early evening take a sight seeing tour of Cochin. It has one of the oldest churches in India, 500 years old Portuguese houses, cantilevered Chinese fishing nets, the historical Palace built by the Portuguese, Jew town, complete with an immaculately preserved synagogues. Also visit Mantanacherrry Palace : Built by the Portuguese. More important are the astonishing Murals, depicting scenes from the Ramayana, Mahabaratha and puranic legends connected with Shiva, Vishnu, Krishna Kumara and Durga. These beautiful murals rarely seem to be mentioned, although they are one of the wonders of India. Overnight at the hotel. Houseboats - Kumarakom

Day 19: Cochin - Alleppey (60 kms) - Houseboats - Kumarakom

Depart for Alleppey - one of the most important tourist centers in the state, with a large network of inland canals earning it the sobriquet "Venice of the east". These large network of canals provide Alleppey its lifeline. Alleppey was one of the busiest centers of trade in the past with one of the best known ports along the Malabar coast. Even today it retains its charm as the centre for Coir carpet industries and prawn farming. Arrive Alleppey and check in to house boat Proceed for an overnight cruise towards Kumarakom. The journey will take us through the tropical countryside enchanting backwaters of Alleppey to Palm fringed narrow canals winding through the vast expanse of paddy fields and the neat tiny hamlets, typical villages and regattas (boats snakes) for which Kerala is very famous. Dinner and Overnight on board the houseboats.

Day 20 :Houseboat - Kumarakom - MararikulamAlleppey Houseboats - Chennai

Arrive Kumarakom - which is bound by the Vembanad Lake on two sides, the swaying paddy fields on one side and a bird sanctuary on the other. Dismemberment at Kumarakom and visit the beautiful Kumarakom bird sanctuary - it sprawls over 14 acres. here numerous species of birds, including Darters, Bitterns, Brahminy kites, Marsh Harries, Teals and several varieties of Herons roost. Thereafter, continue towards Mararikulam. Mararikulam is a sleepy fishing village located between the port city of Cochin and Alleppey. And here, amidst the coconut groves is the Marari Resort. Rest of the day at leisure near the beach. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 21: Mararikulam

Full day free to explore the beach of Mararikulam & its village. Relax & overnight at the beach hugging resort.

 

Day 22: Mararikulam - Cochin (60 kms - 1 hr) - Back home

After breakfast day free to relax, afternoon checkout & drive to Cochin, time free for shopping or individual activities in Cochin till departure transfer to International airport to board the flight back home.
