Delhi - Orchha - Datia - Gwalior - Agra - Jaipur - Samode - Delhi (9 Days)

Day 01: Arrive Delhi Chaturbhuj Temple - Orchha

Arrive Delhi and meet the ITS representative at the arrival hall and transfer to hotel. Relax & overnight in Delhi. (Meals: No Meals)

Day 02: Delhi

Morning tour of Old Delhi: visit the majestic Red Fort, the historical Chandni Chowk, besides Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana. Afternoon tour of New Delhi, visit the Rashtrapati Bhawan, the one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys; the India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war; the Laxmi Narayan Temple, built by the Birlas, one of India's leading industrial families; Qutab Minar, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty; and the lotus-shaped Bahai Temple. Evening free at leisure, overnight in Delhi. (Meals: Breakfast)

 

Day 03: Delhi - Jhansi (By Shatabdi Express Train at 0530 hrs / arr at 1030 hrs)- Orchha

Early morning depart by Shatabdi Express for Jhansi, assistance on arrival in Jhansi at 1030 hrs, transfer to hotel in Orchha on the banks of River Betwa. Day free to relax & enjoy thTaj Mahal - Agrae river view from the hotel. Afternoon take a sight seeing tour of Orchha: Orchha once the capital of the Bundelas, Orchha is now just a village set amidst a complex of well preserved temples and palaces. It was built by Bir Singh Deo in 1531. Take a sight seeing tour of Orchha visiting Jehangir Mahal - the largest of the palaces , the Raj Mahal with its murals and the Raj Praveen Mahal built near a garden, You would also visit Dinman Hardaul`s palace with its interesting story. The temples of Orchha are highly preserved. The two main temples are the Ram Raja Temple and the Chaturbhuj temple. Evening free to relax, overnight in Orchha. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 04: Orchha - Datia - Gwalior (120 kms - 3 to 4 hrs)

After breakfast checkout & drive to Gwalior enroute visit Datia; Datia is famous for the seven storied palace built by Rana Bir Singh Dev in 1614. It is the representative of one of the finest architectures of the Bundela period. The place also houses the Bundela mural paintings. Later proceed to Gwalior, on arrival transfer to hotel. Later take a sight seeing tour visiting the imposing and magnificent Gwalior Fort made of sandstone, visit Man Mandir a six-towered palace. In the afternoon visit the enormous, 19th century Jai Vilas Palace. This Palace is famous for its ornate chandeliers & crystal. Also visit the, Gujari Mahal, the Tomb of Muhammad Ghaus, a saint worshipped by the Mughals & the Tomb of the famous musician Tansen. Overnight in Gwalior. (Meals: Breakfast)

Itmad-Ud-Daula's Tomb - Agra

Day 05: Gwalior - Agra (110 kms - 2 hrs)

After breakfast checkout & drive to Agra, on arrival transfer to hotel. After freshen up take a sight seeing tour of Agra visiting Agra Fort, world famous Taj Mahal, whose eternal beauty will astonish and mesmerize the visitors. Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan built Taj Mahal in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, who died in 1631. Thereafter Visit the beautiful mausoleum of the tomb of Itmad-Ud-Daula, the first monument in India to feature Persian mosaic style inlay work or "Pietra Dura" Greatly resembling the Taj in its use of inlay on white marble, and is known as the "mini-Taj". Evening free to visit the handicraft market of Agra. Overnight at the hotel. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 06: Agra - Jaipur (230 kms - 4 hrs)

After breakfast checkout & drive to Jaipur enroute visit of Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned city built by Akbar, his capital for 14 years visit Panch Mahal, Birbal Bhawan, Bulund Darwaza & Shrine of Shaikh Salim Chisti. Thereafter we continue our journey to Jaipur the capital of Rajasthan also called the Pink City. On arrival transfer to hotel. Day free to relax, Evening visit Chokhi Dhani - an ethnic resort serving Rajasthani cuisine with live music and puppet shows in an ambiance of an ethnic village. Return to the hotel for overnight. (Meals: Breakfast & Cultural Dinner at Chokhi Dhani)

Day 07: Jaipur

After breakfast take an excursion tour to Amber Fort where one can enjoy Elephant ride to ascend the Fort. Drive back to hotel. Afternoon take a sight take a sight seeing tour of Jaipur visiting City Palace Complex, Hawa Mahal, and Jantar Mantar. Rest of the day is kept free to explore the Carpet, Gems & Jewellery markets of Jaipur. Overnight in Jaipur. (Meals: Breakfast)

Amber Fort - Jaipur

Day 08: Jaipur - Samode (50 kms - 1 hour)

After breakfast checkout & drive to Samode Village enroute visiting Sanganer known for its blue pottery and colorful hand made paper. Visit an old Jain Temple there. Then continuation towards the old caravan city of Samode locked up in its walls and dominated by the castle. On arrival transfer to Samode Palace Hotel, later visit the Palace, the Sheesh Mahal- the hall of mirrors. Early evening enjoy camel cart ride to explore the Samode Fort and the semi desert village of Samode, evening free to relax at the Palace Hotel, overnight in Samode. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 09: Samode - Delhi

Morning free at leisure, checkout in the afternoon & drive to Delhi, on arrival transfer to International airport to board the flight back home. (Meals: Breakfast)
