Days 1:Kathmandu
Arrive Kathmandu. Meet at the airport and transfer to hotel. The tour manager will give pre-tour briefing. Rest of the day is leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Kathmandu
Morning visit The Pashupatinath Temple, situated on the banks of River Baghmati around 8 km from the city, is one of the holiest Hindu shrines. Also visit Guheshwari Temple near Pashupatinath is considered as the place where Yoni of Shiva's consort Sati fell when she was cut into pieces by Lord Vishnu. Later visit Boudhnath which is one of the largest stupas in the world. Afternoon free to relax, early evening visit Patan is a spiritual city with Durbar Square in the centre and many stupas, shikaras, and temples. Bhaktapur is again a royal city where most of the attractions revolve around Durbar Square and the Palace of 55 Windows. Evening free to visit the market of Thamel, overnight in Kathmandu. (Meals: Breakfast)
Day 3: Kathmandu - Sankhu - Nagarkot
After breakfast checkout & drive to Sankhu, which is a small city in
itself mostly inhabited by the Newar community. The place is famous for
its beautiful temple dedicated to the Goddess Vajra Yogini. After
visiting the Temple drive to though lush green farms & forest to
Nagarkot, on arrival transfer to hotel. Early evening take
a
walking tour of villages surrounding Nagarkot & enjoy the breathtaking
view of Himalayan Ranges from different angles and Nagarkot also offers
a great view of Indravati River down towards the plains. Overnight in
Nagarkot.
Day 4: Nagarkot - Dhulikhel (Soft Trek of 4
hours)
After breakfast checkout & trek to Changu
Narayan Temple it is one of the oldest temple
of Nepal listed in world heritage
situated at the end
of a long ridge which runs well into the valley, it is said to have been
built in 323 AD and said to be the oldest temple in the valley.
The route that goes through pine forests you
reach the Changu Narayan Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This
walk will take us about 4 hours. From here drive to Dhulikhel for an
hour, on arrival transfer to hotel.
Dhulikhel a fascinating
old Newar town at the foot of a hill. Dhulikhel is rightly famous as a
mountain viewpoint and for excellent day walks. At 1450 meters above sea
level, it is a little cooler than Kathmandu but not as cold as Nagarkot.
The Narayan and Harisiddhi temples in the old part of town are both
beautifully adorned with intricate wood carvings. Rest of the day free
to enjoy the serene atmosphere & beautiful views of the Himalayan
Ranges, overnight in Dhulikhel.
Day 5: Dhulikhel - Kathmandu - Pokhra
After breakfast
checkout & drive to Kathmandu airport for an hour to board the flight
for Pokhra at 1100 hrs, assistance on arrival in Pokhra at 1200 hrs,
transfer to hotel. Day free to relax till 1500 hrs, take a sight seeing
tour of Pokhra visiting Davis Falls, Binde Basini Temple, Mahindra
Caves, Seti George and Phewa Lake. Evening free to relax at the hotel,
overnight at hotel.
Day 6: Pokhara - Hike to Sarangkot
After breakfast, start the pleasant hike to Sarangkot with packed lunch. The popular hilltop offering the superb panoramic view of the Himalayas. It's a hike to places within the rim of the Pokhara valley and walks to the surrounding villages offer captivating glimpses of rural life. Return to Pokhara, overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: Pokhra - Kathmandu (By air at 1200 hrs
/ arr at 1300 hrs)
After breakfast checkout & transfer to
airport to board the flight for Kathmandu, assistance on arrival in
Kathmandu at 1300 hrs, transfer to hotel. Day free to relax, overnight
in Kathmandu.
Day 8: Kathmandu
First hour is reserve for spectacular mountain flight over the
Himalayan range including Mount Everest. Upon completion of this spellbinding hour long flight, we straight away continue the sight-seeing tour of Budhanilakantha- the statue of Lord Vishnu lying on the cosmic water before the universe was created. Afternoon free for shopping or to go around on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 9: Kathmandu - Back home
Breakfast then final departure transfer to airport to board the flight back home.
