The North East state of India
Nagaland became the sixteenth state of India in 1963. The narrow strip of
mountain territory is bounded by Assam, Myanmar, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur.
Nagaland is a small hill station in-hibited by 16 tribes and sub tribes who have
their own languages. The present Nagaland state was curved out arbitrarily for
administrative purposes. The area covered by the Naga people extended to some
30000 sq. miles. Lotha Nagas, defined the areas inhabited by the Naga tribes
bounded by the Hukawng valley in the North East, the plains of Brahma Putra
valley to Kachar to Chinwin. Manipur valley roughly marks the point of contact
between the Naga tribes and more closely interrelated group of Kuki tribals.
They have distinct culture and customs of their own; also the ways of living are
widely different from those of the plains of Assam and the others Indians.
Nature resplendent in all her full-bodied glory. Exquisitely picturesque, vibrantly colourful, all lush fertile, land represents un imaginable beauty, created
naturally to take your breath away. The Naga Tribes, inhabitants of Nagaland, are said to belong to the indo-mongoloid stock, a race whose presence was first noted ten centuries before Christ, at the time of the compilation of the Vedas.

Kohima the
capital city of Nagaland in the north east India, it is a picturesque
city, situated in lush green wealth of the nature. Kohima a typical Naga
town is a hill station with panoramic views of the rugged Naga hills,
displaying the tribal culture of the north east state of India. The home
of the brave and daring Naga tribes, Kohima is un spoilt and replete

Dimapur
The ancient capital of
13th century of Kachori rulers situated at an altitude of 195 meters above sea-level is the gateway of Nagaland.
Dimapur is an important commercial city of Nagaland. The town is named after the
Dimasa river, that irrigates it. It is one of the fastest growing townships in
the North East India. The city is also gateway to Manipur.
